They Adopted a Dog With Incurable Cancer and She Had The Happiest Last Month of Her Life

Posted on November 19, 2021March 22, 2022 by admin

Ruoselvet was a very lonely pit bull with a heartbreaking look in his eyes. The owner dropped him off at the Chicago Animal Control Center with a note justifying his refusal. “He has problems urinating.”

When Kelly Michael and Sarah Lauch met him, they were trampled by a desperate, broken dog. They wanted to get him out of this sad place and out of this cold cage as soon as possible. “I saw him resting quietly in the cage while all the other dogs barked and jumped for my attention. He seemed to be crying because he was so sad,” Sarah wrote on Facebook.

“Probably eating a stone or trying to get out of the cage, his teeth were completely broken. We were so helpless and sad about him. We immediately took him in and tried to find a foster home to treat him.”

Fortunately, with the help of One Tail at Time, they were able to take him home.

He didn’t know how happy it was to hug him.

Unfortunately, Lu was diagnosed with terminal bone cancer when she was seen by a veterinarian, and she only lived for a few months. Faced with this difficult situation, they decided to give her a real family and make her last days the happiest. Roo will live with Kelly until the end of his day.

Roo doesn’t know he’s sick, so he acts like a normal dog.

They spoil him a lot. He is very happy!

They decided to make a list of Roo’s last wishes. They did it completely. He took a first lake dip, tasted ice cream, got a therapeutic massage and even went to Taco Bell to dine.

The list is endless and Roo enjoys every treat as if it really were the last time.

His time may be limited, but love knows no bounds. For these girls who supported him and adopted him, Lu became a life lesson to be grateful for every moment. So they went viral with the hashtag #LiveLikeRoo and created a page with his name, and the impact on the network was huge. “People sent me direct messages and fans invited us to the Lake House. Now all owners are taking care of their dogs.”

Sarah said that although they try to be positive towards Roo, they know that the end of the journey will not be easy.

In the heartbreaking preview, they discovered a wonderful side. And the best way to handle this is to give her a lot of happiness in her last days. This is what true happiness looks like.

“Even if we have known him for such a short time, the mere thought of having to put him down at some point makes us cry”.

“It’s only been a few months since Roo was born, but we hope #LiveLikeRoo can inspire everyone, now and forever,” read the Facebook page. You can see how Roo enjoyed every minute of her last days in this tribute. It’s hard not to cry!
